Archmere Academy is a Catholic, Norbertine college preparatory school, valuing community, respect, zeal, reverence, and wisdom. Since opening its doors in 1932, Archmere Academy is known for its rigorous academic program.   • Cross Country Competes at New Castle Championships, Gears Up for States this Weekend

    At the New Castle County Cross Country Championships last weekend, the varsity girls team finished 5th, while the varsity boys finished 7th. The JV teams also had a great team effort as the girls finished 4th and the boys 5th. The meet, held at Winterthur Estate, hosted 25 teams from the New Castle area.

  • Football Team Defeats Odessa on the Road

    After a loss to Howard last weekend, the Archmere football team claimed a resounding 35-7 win over the Odessa Ducks on the road on Friday, November 1st. The high-scoring effort was their fourth straight win on the road. This season, the team's offensive unit has averaged 28.2 points per game this season. The Auks have one more regular season game on Saturday against Wilmington Friends before entering playoffs.

  • Volleyball Battles Newark Charter for 5 Set Win, Moves on to Quarterfinals

    On Saturday, November 2 the Archmere volleyball team traveled to take on Newark Charter in the second round of the DIAA State Tournament. Coming off of a first round win against Conrad, the Auks, seeded eleventh, "stormed back" during the exciting back and forth match, defeating the sixth seed Patriots in 5 sets. Set scores were 22-25, 25-15, 25-20, 21-25, and 15-12.
